Viruses
The steps of a virus
This week Te Maunga has been learning about viruses. I learned about fungi, bacteria and viruses. Mushrooms, yeast, mold and ringworm are types of fungi. Lactobacillus, acidophilus, clostridium and tetoni are types of bacteria. Corona, flu, cold, chicken pox and strep throat are types of Viruses.

Water Cycle
Hello everyone, last week in Te Maunga we learned about the water cycle. The steps of a water cycle are evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.We did some art too. We did a drawing about the water cycle. We learnt how to colour in our drawings in different shades of colours.

How to wash your hands
Kia ora everyone this week in Te Maunga we have been learning how to wash our hands correctly. We did it step by step. We did a bit of science too. My teacher put milk in the bowl and then we pretended that the pepper was the virus and then my teacher put soap on his finger and then he put his finger in the milk and then the pepper moved away from his finger.

koru and kowhaiwhai
Hello Everyone in Te Maunga we made koru and kowhaiwhai patterns. A koro means protection,belonging,nurturing and caring. A mangopare is a hammerhead shark - strength. My koru pattern had my dad, mum, sister, brother and me.
